The new regulation for the treatment of sensitive and judicial data of competence of the Piedmont Region has been issued. The regulation stems from envisaged by the Privacy Code which argues that public bodies, to process the data, need to acquire the consent or to have a rule of law defining the treatment.
The rule of law must be completed with a regulation which is to identify more specifically the type of data and the type of operations that institutions are allowed to perform. Regulation should be adopted in accordance with an opinion of the Authority for the protection of personal data provided on a common schema-type to the regions and approved by the State-Regions Conference.
The new regulatory framework provides guarantees for citizens with respect legitimate use of the most sensitive information about their lives, in the interest of the individual and the community.
