The International Campaign's Pink Ribbon aims to raise awareness, for the entire month of October, an increasing number of women on the fundamental importance of prevention and early detection of breast cancer, informing the female audience also on styles healthy life properly to be taken in the life of every day and on diagnostic checks to be carried out periodically.
Numerous initiatives are planned throughout Italy, then in Turin where the Mole Antonelliana will glow pink, in the evenings of 16-18 October.
In particular, we note the meeting on Saturday 17 in Turin, "From research to concreteness. Family doctors and women encounter screening" dedicated to evaluate the problems emerging in the paths of screening, proposing an alliance in prevention, diagnostic, therapy between institutions, specialists and family doctors taking into account the need for a more accurate and detailed personal knowledge of the patient to be able to steer the best course of treatment, preserving and optimizing results and sustainability.
Path that needs to take account of the views of women in order to have a scenario more precise and real difficulties and needs that may reduce adherence to screening or affect early diagnosis especially in high-risk families. Taking part in the Gender Associations for better evaluation and consideration of patientes Report Outcomes (PROs).
