The National Plan for Prevention (2014-2018) envisages the topic "Environment and Health" among its activities and the collaboration between the National Health Service and the National System for the Protection of the Environment will play an increasingly important role in this scope.
The project " EpiAmbNet: Italian network of environmental epidemiology promotes a national conference on the exchange of information experiences, results of epidemiological studies and good practices.
The meeting, scheduled for Bologna on 7 and 8 November 2017, involves the participation of central institutes (ISS, ISPRA), regional epidemiology structures, ASL prevention departments and ARPA Regional Agencies. Examples of synergy between environmental and health systems will be presented, such as the "Supersito" project of the Emilia-Romagna Region and Arpae on air pollution, as well as the first results of the EpiAmbNet project.
