The 32nd edition of the Epidemiology Residential Summer Course organized by the European Educational Program in Epidemiology (EEPE) will be held in Florence from 17 June 2019 to 5 July 2018.
The course, held by an international faculty, provides a three-week overview of epidemiological and biostatistical methods, from planning and conducting studies to data analysis and interpretation of results . In the third week, students can choose between several thematic modules, including advanced analysis methods, advanced concepts in epidemiology, infectious disease epidemiology, disease burden, clinical epidemiology, prevention in the era of precision medicine and Big data. , causal methods in epidemiology, environmental epidemiology.
Thematic courses will be held in the week between 8 and 12 July 2019: 1) GIS (Geographic Information Systems) in Epidemiology; 2) Geo-spatial methods for global health applications; 3) Genetic and Epigenetic epidemiology. These courses are usually attended regardless of the 3 week course frequency.
