The kick-off meeting of the EASY-NET network program officially started the project funded by the Ministry of Health (NET-2016-02364191) and co-financed by the Regions of Piedmont, Lombardy, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Calabria, Sicily.
EASY-NET aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Audit & Feedback (A&F) in the improvement of different care models in various organizational and regulatory contexts, using a set of indicators mainly based on the National Health Service (SSN) databases.
A&F is a quality improvement strategy of assistance that consists in collecting data on clinical practice, in their comparison with pre-established standards or objectives and in returning operators to the results of the comparison.
The Regions participating in EASY-NET will benefit from sharing methodologies and results, implementing an experimental study design in a specific area of interest. Oncology has been identified for Piedmont.
The project will produce new knowledge on mechanisms to improve the effectiveness of A&F in giving real advantage to the SSN: when and where to prioritize; to the interventions of A&F, how to optimize the results and how to improve the access to the highest quality assistance for citizens.
