People who survive a cancer diagnosis are more and more numerous, bringing with them a growing load of questions, aimed at both public health operators and to the society as a whole.
"The message to give them is first of concreteness and hope, scientifically we have gone from survival to healing", the Minister of Health Beatrice Lorenzin said at the press conference, on March 9, to present the results of the study "The tumors in Italy - Report 2014. Prevalence and healing from cancer in Italy" conducted by the Italian Association of Cancer Registries (AIRTum) and published in the journal Epidemiology & Prevention, the official organ of the Italian Association of Epidemiology.
