The webinar organized by the Italian Association of Epidemiology (AIE) "Air pollution and public health in Italy: a discussion about the Proposed Ambient Air Quality Directive" is scheduled for June 16th.
The meeting intends to take stock and fuel a debate as constructive as possible in the light of what emerged in recent months during the series of seminars on atmospheric pollution and health, in view of the approval of the new Community directive on the quality of air pollution (AAQD), organized by the International Society of Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE) and the European Respiratory Society (ERS).
The purpose of these initiatives is to define key messages and to inform experts involved in the study of air pollution and its impact on the environment and on public health in the various countries of the European Union.
The AIE intends to participate actively in this comparison with the aim of informing, communicating and building alliances between all the actors who operate in various capacities in the Italian scenario.
